Orange Bowl Missing Top Players- Several of the World's best juniors have decided to skip this years Orange Bowl Tournament- Most noticeable are the 5 American boys who all are ranked top 10 -Under 18
Young Professionals- Should kids at 6,7,8,9 years old be training at tennis like a Professional? In a word- NO- A lot of parents are out of control- Coaches should do their best to educate them.
I believe that TC should be financing the development of our BEST ATHLETES by supporting OUR BEST COACHES as well as supporting Boys and Girls who win National Tournaments in the U12 - U14 division, who may or may not be our best prospects.
Since beginning to play tennis at the age of 4 years old I have been involved in many aspects of the game- from Competitive Player, to Coach, Manager and Co-Owner of Clubs. I have also been a very keen student of the game, and from time to time have questioned some of the widely held beliefs that permeate the tennis industry. An example of this would be the current "theory" or belief that you can't Serve and Volley or you can't go to the net too often in today's game.
